"Sin Ti No Soy Nada" by Amaral, English translation of lyrics

"Without You I Am Nothing"
Style: Emo Pop/Rock
Country: Spain

Without you I am nothing,
A drop of rain wetting my face,
My world is small and my heart little pieces of ice.

I used to think that love was not real,
An illusion that always ends,
And now without you I am nothing.

Sin ti, niña mala,
Sin ti, niña triste
Que abraza su almohada.

Without you, bad girl,
Without you, sad girl
Who hugs her pillow.

Thrown across her bed,
Watching the TV and not seeing anything.
To love just to love and to break into tears,
In the most truthful and profound part of the soul,
Without you I am nothing.

The days that pass,
The lights of dawn,
My soul, my body, my voice, are not worth anything.

Porque yo~
Sin ti no soy nada. (x3).

Because I~
Without you am nothing. (x3).

Me siento tan rara,

I feel so strange,
The nights of partying turn bitter.
I laugh without meaning it with a smile painted on my face.

I am only an actor who forgot their script,
In the end and in any case they are only words
That do not say anything.

Repeat:
-----------------------------------

The days that pass,
The lights of dawn,
My soul, my body, my voice, are not worth anything.

Qué no daría yo por tener tu mirada,
Por ser como siempre los dos,
Mientras todo cambia.

What would I not give to have your gaze,
To be like always, the two of us,
While everything changes.

Porque yo~
Sin ti no soy nada (x3).

Because I~
Without you am nothing. (x3).
-----------------------------------
(x2)

(I laugh) (without enthusiasm) with (a smile) (painted on my face)

---

I am only an actor who forgot their script [lit. in spirit]
I am only an actor who forgot his script [lit. textbook English, but gender not intended in original]
I am only an actress that forgot her script [lit. gender edit]

Spanish is usually considered more gender-specific compared to English, but here "actor" (actor) is used as a neutral word instead of feminine "actriz" (actress) to make the sentence more general. "Su" (his/her) is always gender neutral, whereas standard English requires a gendered possessive word.

The closest literal translation would actually use singular "their."
